What to Expect

Practice Hours

Generally, practice hours are between 9am-8pm Monday- Friday and 9am-5pm on a Saturday.  Every effort is made to respond to enquiries or messages within 48 hours and to offer an initial session within 7 days of a referral.

Typically sessions are held weekly and last for 50 mins.

How many sessions will I need?

It is difficult to say how many sessions are needed, however our aim is to help you in the shortest number of sessions possible.  A first appointment will allow you to see if counselling is appropriate for you.  Usually you will start with 6 sessions and review after that.  Your counsellor will continually review your need for further sessions as counselling progresses.

How can I pay for a therapy session?

The counsellor will take payment in full at the end of each session by cash or cheque.  There are not facilities to accept debit or credit cards.

How much is a counselling session?

£40 per counselling hour.

What happens if I am unable to attend a counselling session?

Cancellations must be notified with at least 24 hours notice, so that arrangements can be made to reallocate the slot to another client.  Should you not provide 24 hours notice, you would be expected to pay for the missed session.
